UX Design Manager
Lead a team of 10 designers in creating experiences for everything needed to make and interact with Tableau data visualizations, from initial data preparation, through statistics, calculations, and visualization creation, and finishing with dashboard authoring, formatting, and storytelling.
Built new processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the entire design team, including documenting and driving improvements in interviewing candidates, a program for onboarding designers during their first two months on the job, monthly team meetings to improve communiation, as well as social events to encourage collaboration across the team.

Windows 8.1: Learning, Charms Flows, OOBE
Developed the vision, defined the information architecture, and co-managed the release of new learning features, including first-run tutorials, the Help+Tips app, and in-app help experiences.
Created and evangelized developer guidance for building in-app learning experiences.
Led cross-feature design updates to Charms flows and the out-of-box experience (OOBE).
Windows 8: Share, Boot, OOBE, Messaging
Designed the Share charm, a lightweight, in-context OS sharing platform, from initial concept explorations through final polish and release.
Developed design guidance and partnered with teams to build exemplary Share target apps.
Coordinated visual and interaction design alignment across all four Charms flows.
Delivered visual and interaction design refinements for the final release of other OS features, including modernized Boot menus, the out-of-box experience (OOBE), and the Messaging app.
Windows 7: Easy Transfer, Browser Companion
Created information architecture and interaction design for Windows Easy Transfer, a tool for quickly and easily transferring data from a Windows XP PC to a Windows 7 PC.
Led design envisioning for the IE Browser Companion, a browser based sharing/social plug-in.
